Rebranding is an exciting topic here at Capify. We have recently undergone a colossal transformation- our colours have changed, our logo has changed, our products have been enhanced and we are now part of a global Alternative Finance group.
You may have known us previously as United Kapital or Capiota, which both operated from a UK office based in Manchester. Now, we have joined together with:
True North Capital- Canada
…to become international experts in the industry.
We wanted to rebrand for numerous reasons,
1) We can now provide our customers with global knowledge and expertise.
2) Capify supplies finance in three different continents, making us the biggest provider of alternative finance.
3) We have experience in multiple countries, all with diverse cultures and challenges. Each office is extremely proud of the way our customers are helped and served, whether it be in Australia, or the UK and we enjoy collaborating as one brand.
We have also invested in technology to ensure that our customers are able to access funds easily and quickly. We have developed a cutting edge online application, which gives business owners a decision about how much money can be raised in just 60 seconds! Through making these changes we hope to serve more entrepreneurs, helping them achieve any growth plans.
There are lots of benefits that you can gain from rebranding. If you’re considering updating a website, creating a new logo, or transforming your whole company- here are just a few great things that you could get out of it…
Gain an Advantage over Competitors
If your business has been established for a few years, there might come a point when you look back and think about all the things you would have done differently if you had a second chance. Well, you do have a second chance. Rebranding is a great way to modernise your image and take a step above any competitors.
You might have been the first business of your type to enter the market, but people soon start to rival your products, services and unique selling points. Through rebranding you can create a new look and feel which sets you apart from others in the same industry.
Stand out from the crowd by creating something exclusive and interesting.
Make the Most of your Inside Knowledge
You can use your experiences to create an improved appearance which you think will appeal to customers, make you memorable, and suit current trends. If you’ve been in the industry for some time, you should have a clear understanding of things that work, and things that don’t. Therefore use this to your advantage and transform your brand into something you know customers will appreciate.
Although they may be familiar, sometimes logos and colours become outdated- and so does technology and products. Why not do something interesting with what you already have? Create a new strapline, jazz up your website with new styles and functions- just making a few minor changes to your brand can completely transform it.
Don’t Give Up
If your business isn’t heading in the direction you initially planned, don’t just give up- rebrand. Many famous companies have also had to undergo changes, and they may not have survived without it. Rebranding for this reason is nothing to be ashamed of, you’re simply using initiative and creativity.
Burberry has been an established brand since the 1920’s, but during the 90’s, it started to receive some very bad press. Gangs were getting their hands on the products, and so its reputation quickly became negative, relating to aggression, thugs and violence. In order to re-gain the popularity it had before, a huge rebranding campaign needed to happen, and it did.
They appointed a new CEO, Angela Ahrendts in 2006, who travelled around each global office to conduct an analysis… and she discovered something alarming. Every shop was offering different products, styles and prices, “dog leashes were sold at one location, kilts at another” CMO. She swiftly managed to change this, by appointing one chief designer and ensuring that every Burberry Retailer knew what the brand stood for, classic styles and durability. Now Burberry is once again established as a high fashion, luxury brand.
Google has also just announced the rebranding of its products under the name ‘Alphabet’ The CEO said about this exciting change, “We’ve long believed that over time companies tend to get comfortable doing the same thing and just making incremental changes” …sometimes “you need to be a bit uncomfortable to stay relevant.”
If you would like to rebrand your company but aren’t sure if you have enough funds to support this change, Capify can help. We can raise business owners anywhere from £3,500-£500,000 which they can use to carry out any ambitious or necessary plans. Find out more here.
